[Shakir 5:33]
The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger
and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they
should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet
should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned;
this shall be a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter
they shall have a grievous chastisement.
[Hadith, Volume
4, Book 52, Number 176] Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar:
Allah’s Apostle said, “You (i.e. Muslims) will fight
with the Jews till some of them will hide behind stones. The stones
will (betray them) saying, ‘O ‘Abdullah (i.e. Slave
of Allah)! There is a Jew hiding behind me; so kill him.’”
[Hadith, Book 019, Number 4366] It has been narrated by ‘Umar b.
Al-Khattib that he heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be
upon him) say: I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian
Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslims.
[Hadith, Volume
9, Book 84, Number 57] Narrated ‘Ikrima: Some Zanadiqa (atheists)
were brought to ‘Ali and he burnt them. The news of this
event, reached Ibn ‘Abbas who said, “If I had been
in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah’s Apostle
forbade it, saying, ‘Do not punish anybody with Allah’s
punishment (fire).’ I would have killed them according to
the statement of Allah’s Apostle, “Whoever changed
his Islamic religion, then kill him.”’”
